The Best of Jackson Hole—Water Lovers Rejoice!

Pristine mountain lakes and rugged rivers abound in this natural wonderland. From rafting, canoeing and boating to fishing and just hanging by the lake, Jackson Hole offers an abundance of water-related activities for the whole family.

Jackson Lake

In the northwest region of Grand Teton National Park lies Jackson Lake. This 15-mile long glacial lake is located at the base of the Tetons. Ranked as one of the top 15 best park beaches, this lake is primed for fun in the sun. Swimming, boating, hiking and fishing are just some of the activities that can be enjoyed here; make sure to schedule at least a few hours to take in this beautiful oasis!

For Jackson Lake activity rentals, contact these marinas:

Colter Bay Marina is located north of Moran in Grand Teton National Park. They offer canoe, kayak, and motor boat rentals for exploring Jackson Lake at the base of Mount Moran.

Signal Mountain Lodge Marina offers many of the same things as Colter Bay, but they also rent pontoon boats and deck cruisers that seat 10.

Dave Hansen Whitewater Rafting and Scenic River Trips

For over 50 years, Dave Hansen River Trips has provided exciting whitewater and scenic river trips for kids, ages 6 to 96. They work harder than anyone on the Snake River to make sure you have a safe, fun, and fantastic experience from start to finish.

Scenic Floats

For Scenic Floats, we recommend booking through Grand Teton Lodge Company or Triangle X, as their permits offer the best sections of river.

Rendezvous River Sports

This is your one-stop-shop for kayak, canoe and stand-up paddle board rentals. Our favorite sites to paddle are String Lake and Jenny Lake. For canoeing, we recommend Leigh Lake—head to Rendezvous around 8am, and slap a canoe on the roof of your car (they provide straps and foam pads) before heading north into Grand Teton National Park.

Grand Fishing Adventures

This company caters to expert anglers and first-time anglers alike. Learn more about the area as you fish the pristine waters of Jackson Hole during a full- or half-day trip.

Swimming + Hot Springs

Hop in the various lakes, streams and rivers that dot the valley, and don’t miss the swimming pond at Rendezvous Park in Wilson. If you’re after a slightly more relaxing swimming experience, check out Granite Hot Springs, which is just 30 minutes south of Jackson. Nestled among the Gros Ventre Mountains, the hot springs are 7,000 feet above sea level and offer incredible views.
